No. Cabo San Lucas has one of the most famous nightlife scenes in Mexico; San José del Cabo mostly closes down by midnight outside of a few wine bars and hotel lounges. If nightlife matters to your group, base yourself in Cabo San Lucas — taxis back to San José late at night are doable but add cost and friction to every night out.
